Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Mobile Pet Salon In Hillsborough
James Taylor has expressed deep concern over the traumatic experience his five-pound dog, JUJU, went through last weekend. According to Taylor, a groomer allegedly taped Jujur's mouth shut after being bitten, resulting in the dog being bloody and distressed.
Taylor recounted, "My dog was clearly in distress. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Jujur's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.
Puppy Lux - a mobile salon for pets - employed the groomer to perform these actions.
James immediately took Juju to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. James has accused Puppylux of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. San Mateo's Office has now launched an animal cruelty investigation into Puppy Lux.
James described what he saw. "I noticed injuries near the joints, in the neck area, and around the genital areas." The cuts were so severe that they caused bleeding."
Jack Smithr is a Puppy Lux customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. A Snapchat video captured by a customer showed a dog with obvious pain. He claimed that the groomer had forcedly inserted a towel into its ear.
In addition to the damning Yelp reviews, Puppy Lux wants customers to be aware of what the groomer told him, as someone they had entrusted with their pets' well-being. James shared: "Jonny told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Jonny claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He also stated that he personally applies this method to his own dog."
When contacted by Fox, Puppy Lux answered the phone but animal abuse and serial killers promptly handed it over to a woman who stated they were investigating the allegations. However, when questioned about Puppy Lux, she quickly asserted that it was a separate entity before abruptly ending the call.
